Snow Skiing, Snowmobiling, Hunting,
Hiking, Shopping, History, and Western Culture
IT'S ALL RIGHT HERE!!!
Welcome
! This truly beautiful 3500+sf log home is sitting on twenty
unspoiled acres with approximately 950'
of Petty Creek frontage. The west side of the property backs to Lolo
National Forrest. If you are looking for a true log home, with a
hand crafted look and feel, you found it. This is not a kit home.
The logging trucks pulled in, unloaded the logs and the work began.
All of the logs were hand peeled and fitted. No logs were simply
"butted" up to each other without a fitted joint. The smallest log
used was 14 inches at the trunk. There is a large free standing wood
stove that is more than adequate to heat the first and second floors
with propane heat in the basement.

Granite
counter tops throughout the kitchen and bathrooms. Stainless
appliances in the kitchen that include a Grizzly commercial
stove/griddle/oven topped off with a custom stainless hood and vent
system, extra large pantry and a one piece blue pine breakfast bar.
There is DSL for your computer and satellite for your TV available.
This 2 story plus a walkout finished basement is a 5 bedroom 3 bath
home with a large open floor plan, vaulted ceilings with a loft
perfect for reading. Great views go hand in hand with this home. The
huge finished basement could be used as a living space or maybe a
game room. Tongue and grove pine throughout, there is no drywall
here. Wood floors, handcrafted log staircase and covered front porch
to pass the time are all included. The deer and elk horn chandeliers
in the dining area and great room are real horn, nothing faux about
this place. All of the custom cabinetry is hardwood hickory with all
the character the wood has to offer, that includes a serving cart
with antler handle. The master bedroom is on the main floor and has
a large walk through closet on your way to the master bath that
features a restored claw foot tub with shower. All interior doors
were handmade from blued pine and add a really nice touch. The
surrounding homes are all upscale, but you can barely see them
anyway. The garage is 24x32 and big enough for all your toys.

We have Petty Creek running through the property and the Clark Fork
river, less than 2 miles away. The Clark Fork River offers all types of
activities from white water rafting through the Alberton Gorge,
kayaking, fly fishing or simply just a quite river float from the
Petty fishing access just down the road. The great thing about our
location is Missoula City limits is only 25 minutes away. We are
just 2.5
miles off of I-90 and its a straight
shot into Missoula.
Missoula Montana, home to the University of Montana and Griz Football.
Great shopping, restaurants, theater and fall colors that rival
Vermont, state of the art medical care and just about anything else
you would need.
Whether you are a hunter or just enjoy the outdoors and wildlife,
all you have to do is step out your front door. We are in the heart
of unit 203 for Bighorn Sheep and the photo you see here of the two
rams was taken less than 1/2 mile from the house. We have seen
Bighorn Sheep from our back porch on the west side of our property.
Not to mention Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer and Rocky Mountain Elk.
There was a old herd bull that came down and stayed around the house
this last winter. Sorry to say he didn't make it to spring. He
measured 369 Boone & Crockett points.
